CLOSING A Temple of Seekers Master of the Temple: "(Your name), I wish to personally congratulate you on your decision to quit the darkness and seek the light. I know this was not an easy decision for you to make. It took a lot of hard inner work for you to travel this far on your spiritual journey. I wish you well as you continue your journey as a Seeker. "I extend my thanks to the officers for their assistance in this initiation. I thank you for your effort, your time and your energy. Thank you. +++ "Masters of the Elements and officers, purify this Temple and all within it as we prepare to close this Temple and return to our duties in the World of Darkness." [ The +++ sign indicates three knocks and it calls all persons in the Temple to attention. ] Master of Air: [ purifying around the Temple in a clockwise manner using the fan ] "I purify you with Air to remove from you all negative attitudes, restricting beliefs, impure thoughts and worthless ideas. I invoke the powers of Air to help you attain positive attitudes, freeing beliefs, pure thoughts and ideas of great value." Master of Fire: [ purifying around the Temple in a clockwise manner using the censor of incense ] "I purify you with Fire to remove from you all wrongful intentions, misdirected passions, and all career problems. I invoke the powers of Fire to help you attain beneficial intentions, loving passions and a resolution of all problems with your career." Master of Water: [ purifying around the Temple in a clockwise manner using the cup of water ] "I purify you with Water to remove from you all hurtful emotions and all poisonous relationships. I invoke the powers of Water to help you attain helpful emotions and nurturing relationships." Master of Earth: [ purifying around the Temple in a clockwise manner using salt ] "I purify you with Earth to remove from you all illness and any lack of abundance. I invoke the powers of Earth to help you attain robust health and abundance in your life." Master of the Temple: "In the name of the Divine, I purify this Temple and all within it with the Unconditional Compassion of the Universe. Officers release the astral forms which you have created and maintained to aid us in this initiation ceremony." [ Each officer bows his or her head and releases the astral form or forms that officer created and maintained during the initiation ceremony. When finished, the officer raises her or his head to face the Master of the Temple. When all of the officers are facing the Master of the Temple, the Master of the Temple continues closing. ] Master of the Temple: "Inner and Outer Guards attend to the altar." [ The Inner and Outer Guards go to the altar. The Inner Guard extinguishes the four burning tapers. The Inner Guard picks up the white triangle and hands it to the Outer Guard. The Outer Guard turns and returns to his or her place. The Inner Guard picks up the black and white columns and returns to her or his place. ] Master of the Temple: "In the Holy Name of the Divine I close Temple Zero of The Magical Golden Dawn. Quit the darkness and seek the light." All present: "Quit the darkness and seek the light." |
